Amanda Cherry, author of The Dragon Stone Conspiracy, Rites & Desires, Time & Again, and the Femmes Fatale series, has written a wonderful steampunk novel, Dawn Calamity.

Dawn Calamity tells the story of Maran, a young officer who would have done just about anything to avoid stepping aboard the decrepit airship, Dawn. And discovering the woman she has a secret crush on is onboard is only making things more awkward. When they find themselves behind enemy lines, Maran has to take charge, avoid the enemy at the gate, and find a way to bring the airship crew home.

Amanda Cherry is an author, actor, and sailboat owner who lives in the Seattle suburbs with her husband, ten year-old kid, and two dogs. She began her authorial journey by writing fanfic in a three-ring binder that got reverently passed around Escambia High School in 1993. For fun, Amanda sings (and is occasionally allowed to play guitar) in a rock and roll cover band, she’s an emcee/announcer for Jet City Roller Derby, and a season ticket holder to the Seattle Kraken. She’s also a cast member on the actual play D&D game Greymantle on the Dungeon Scrawlers Twitch channel.
