Kate Ristau is an author and folklorist who writes young adult and middle grade fiction. Her novels Shadow Girl, Shadow Queene, and Shadow & Shimmer are no longer in print through Not a Pipe Publishing. Her novel Clockbreakers is available now, and her essays can be found at The Washington Post and Literary Mama. In her ideal world, magic and myth combine to create memorable stories with unforgettable characters.
