Antifa Lit Journal

From Palestine to the poles, The Congo to Ukraine, Sudan to El Salvador, from the streets of Los Angeles to the swamps of Alligator Alcatraz, the world is in danger. And too many people are watching in silence. Speak out while you still can.

We are living through a fascist uprising. Do not wait for fascists to call themselves fascists. They are ascendent, and we have to learn how to fight back. Authors and poets have always spearheaded efforts to articulate danger and envision a better future. In the Antifa Lit Journal, these talented writers will tug at your heartstrings, draw you to take action, and help you find hope.

Not a Pipe Publishing is excited to announce we are open for submissions for Volume 2 of the Antifa Lit Journal. Authors, poets, and visual artists, if you want to take a stand and use your talents to reject fascism and advocate for a beautiful world of diverse voices, justice for all, and liberty from the rapacious billionaires and self-serving plutocrat politicians trying to deceive, divide, conquer, and consume our world, send us your best work to consider for inclusion in the next volume.

Thanks to the backers of our Kickstarter, we’re now accepting submissions for Volume 2, due to be released in November.

Submission Guidelines

We’re looking for:

• Short fiction of less than 5000 words

• Poetry of less than 100 lines

• Visual artwork, preferably B&W for the interior, though we’ll consider work in color for the cover.

Deadline: September 28th, 2025.

At present, Volume 2 does not have a theme more specific than antifascism, but we’ll update this page if one emerges from the submissions. At present, we would like a healthy mixture of warnings, hopes, gallows humor, and horror, some concrete and some abstract but all anti-fascist. When you look out at the world from your valuable perspective, what do you want everyone to be thinking and feeling right now? That’s what we want to publish: Your unique voice!

All contributors will be paid a small honorarium and recieve a copy of the journal upon its publication.
